Hello & Happy New Year to Everyone!

We hope 2008 finds all of you healthy and happy this new year! This is our opportunity to say thank you to all of our wonderful clients and friends for making 2007 our best year yet! Our business still continues to grow and prosper largely because of your referrals and we would like to say “Thank you”!

Our family of trainers and kennel tech apprentice trainers has now grown to 15. It takes a lot of people to take proper care of your dogs! We have multiple shifts with multiple people on from 7 am to 9 pm when your dogs are brought indoors for the night. In addition we have 5 sub-contractors who take care of your dogs grooming, veterinary, and health care needs, as well as our landscaping and janitorial. This has become a complex, but very tightly run and organized operation.

  A SPECIAL THANK YOU !

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank our clients and our veterinary associates for a growing number of referrals each year. We appreciate the faith this shows in our services. Among them: Arlington Animal Hospital (Dr. Hicks, Saldonna, Humphry's), Riverside Animal Hospital (Dr. Jezbera),& Animal Hospital of Walnut (Dr. Goldstein)& Animal Dental Services, Tustin (Dr. Van Nice), among many others. Also Bob Sr and Robert at the Buzzard House Pet Supply in Mira Loma, Linda Lundborg (Von Lundborg-Land German Shepherds), Sherri Grant (Von Stephenhaus Rottweilers) and Bea Goldblatt (Gold Leaves Golden Retrievers). Direct referrals are the number one source of business for us and we really appreciate it!

  PAYING TRIBUTE.

First mention of 2008 unfortunately has to be the passing of one of our service dogs "Cora". This lovely dog represented everything we stand for with our business name K-9 Companions. We bred and trained Cora from the start of her life and she was purchased by the Strand family in 1997 for their son Jasen who has MD. Cora went everywhere with Jasen and assisted with his every need. She was completely devoted to him. When Jasen was in ICU at Loma Linda Cora would become stressed and make herself sick. She was eventually allowed to come and see him and made many friends with the children who were severely ill and had been there for months. One child would not get out of bed, but when he met Cora he would make the journey every morning just to see her. She touched the lives of many people and was much loved and will be missed by her family. *See Photos and Letter Under Testimonials.

  A YEAR TO REMEMBER!

2007 was a year of steady growth. We completed our 4th book titled Dog Training 101 that is now available through our store or Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobles, and Target. We also published our Naughty Dogs 2008 Calendar, and our online store is up and running where you can purchase any of these gifts as well as training equipment and more!

This year we have done several security and detection details with our dogs. We searched 17 theaters for the American Film Institute Anniversary Celebration, and worked a number of security jobs for a major Hollywood studio. We were also involved with training dogs for a major motion picture but non-disclosure agreements prohibit us from name dropping here.

One of the best things about 2007 for us was watching our sons Troy and Travis have some special opportunities that are rare indeed. Travis who is a MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fan and has been involved with Brazilian Jujitsu for over a year, got to meet and become friends with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Quinton brought MMA Stars Michael Bisping ( UK ) and Cheick Kongo (FR) over to our house for a Saturday night dinner with Chef Alfred. They were preparing for their fights in London on September 8, 07 which they all won. We ended the year in Las Vegas at the UFC 79 fights at Maldalay Bay, courtesy of "Rampage" as we were keeping his dog "Adronicus" for training while he was out of town.

Our oldest son Troy was hired at the White House as a speech writer for President Bush.We got the news just before the New Year and had two weeks to pack up his LA apartment and move him across country to DC. We are very proud of him and are sure that his special talents will be recognized and appreciated as he is truly a gifted writer.

After such a great year we are excited about 2008! To our family of clients a big THANK YOU! LETS MAKE THIS A GREAT YEAR!

We all wish you the best of 2008!

George and Karen Duet.
